As an On-Call Substitute Teacher , you are accountable for driving measurable student achievement in Grades 7-12 by consistently executing instructional practices aligned with ChanceLight Education standards and Ombudsman policies. You play a critical role in maintaining instructional continuity, classroom stability, and a high-performance learning environment.
‖ Responsibilities Include:
Delivering engaging, standards-aligned instruction through curriculum materials, digital learning platforms, and educational software to maximize student mastery.
Designing daily lesson plans and structured classroom schedules that align with state requirements and school expectations while maintaining instructional momentum.
Collaborating with teachers and support staff to provide targeted instructional support and approved curriculum modifications that meet diverse learner needs.
Establishing and reinforcing clear behavioral expectations to cultivate a safe, structured, and highly effective learning environment grounded in consistency and accountability.
Communicating proactively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, areas for growth, and relevant changes that may impact academic performance.
Participating in team meetings to address student-specific academic or behavioral concerns and to develop aligned action plans.
Monitoring and analyzing student progress through systematic review of classroom data, documentation systems, and performance metrics.
Staying current with research-based instructional practices, subject-area developments, and professional learning opportunities to enhance instructional effectiveness.
Responding constructively to formal and informal feedback to support continuous professional growth.
Performing additional duties as assigned to ensure seamless school operations and sustained student success.
